Value Both of Our Precious Time

love helping and answering inquiries for you, but email can become the bane of anyone’s existence. With this in mind, I am a believer that thoughts are most effectively expressed in the fewest words necessary. If your email is much longer than 5-10 sentences , chances are it can be revised. The faster I can digest your email, the faster my reply!

If you think your question could benefit other readers, please consider posting it in the comments section of an applicable article first. You never know how many more people it can impact.

Sup Josh!

I’m writing to you for two reasons:

1) Your ambition, knowledge and paradigm on life both inspire and scare me.
2) I’ve become increasingly passionate about fitness/wellness over the past few years, and am seriously considering training as a career path (senior in high school right now). I don’t know if I’ll enjoy the “life of a trainer,” but I do know that I love fitness and helping people, and I need to at least try it.

I’m 17, I’ve never trained a person before and I don’t really know how or where to start. I just got off the phone with the owner of a local training business and he recommended that I take his course (www.bodydesigntraining.com/class), which is basically a training certification program.

I’m going to the course’s meet and greet on Saturday, but that shit (shit being the course) costs $769, and I don’t even know if I like training yet; I’m looking for more of a job shadow/mentorship type deal.

What are your thoughts on taking this course, and if not, what’s a good way for me to put my foot in the first door and get the ball rolling? What did you do?

Any thoughts, advice and/or internet troll-hate from you is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Alex
